MTME -- Preview Day 1

It's that time again...release time over at My Time Made Easy.  I know I say this every month, but I do have to say this month so far is my very favorite.  The project I get to show you is the 3 Tier Cake.
Is this not the sweetest design?  Each layer is a box.  You can either make it as a set like I did, or you could make just one box.  There are so many possibilities.
I used the Fun Flower paper  for the sides and tops of my cakes and embellished with some flower ribbon.  The butterflies I made with some stamen and prima flowers that I inked to match the color of the paper.
Isn't this the yummiest cake you've ever seen...and there isn't a single calorie in it.  That's my kind of cake.
Here is another shot of the side of the cake.  Here is another butterfly I made.
I really enjoyed making this project and it was just in time to give as a gift to one of my friends at work.  We are having a potluck for her and we are using this as a centerpiece.  How fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by and please visit the other team members to see what designs they have come up with.

Cutting Cafe -- Under the Sea

Hi, everyone!  I have another great card for you using the Cutting Cafe Under the Sea files.  They are just too cute!
I know the lighting on this picture is not too great, but my Photoshop wasn't working right, so this is how it came out...bummer!  Anyway, just love the cut files on this set.
My little 7 year old suggested that I hide the sea horse behind the seaweed, so that is what I did.  Didn't that turn out cute?  I think she is going to grow up on the creative side!  I glittered and embossed the starfish, seaweed, dirt and the corral.
I used the chunky glitter for the corral and was really happy how that turned out.  The crab has glitter pen on it, but I am sorry it didn't show up so well in the picture.

I love all the little pieces that you get in this set.  Please stop by the Cutting Cafe and check out the set.  There are a ton of cut files, stamps and also shaped cards that are way too cute!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cutting Cafe: Sweet Stuff

Hey, all!  I am back again with another Cutting Cafe card.  Love this set.  It is called Sweet Stuff.  As a matter of fact, there were so many cute shapes in this set that this week I am going to show you a different card every day.  So let's get started!
Isn't this just too sweet?!  I used the cupcake shape today for my card.  I just love adding flowers and lace to anything.  The papers are Prima papers and I added a little tag with the cupcake from the Birthday Hershey Kiss Bottoms  stamp set.
I painted the little roses from I Am Roses.  I am so excited to show you the rest of the cards I made, so please stop back by tomorrow.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cutting Cafe Father's Day

Hi, everyone!  I just have a quick post today.  A friend of mine's husband is very ill and I wasn't able to get really great pictures of my project.  So please forgive me in advance.

I made a Father's Day card using the Cutting Cafe Shirt and Tie Cutting File.  I love how this comes out because the ideas are endless.  The sentiment is from the For My Tie-rific Dad file.
I know this is a really quick post and I apologize.  Please visit the Cutting Cafe blog for the other team member's inspiration post.  It is really great.

See ya next time!

Sugar Creek Hollow Guest Designer

The news is finally out!  I have been selected to be the guest designer for Sugar Creek Hollow this week.  Isn't that exciting?  I couldn't wait to post this announcement.  It almost feels like Christmas.

So with all that being said, the challenge this week is to make your own paper.  I think this is such a fun idea.  So here is what I came up with.
I used a doily stamp set in yellow and coral and green for my paper.  I absolutely loved the color combination.
I used some roses from I Am Roses and painted them the colors I wanted.
The teddy bear I made from Mulberry paper and I really loved how it turned out.  Isn't she the cutest?  I can't wait to try a few more of these, plus I think the paper really pops behind her, don't you?
This is a little better picture of the paper I made.  Love these doilies!  Well, that is it for my project.  Please join in the fun over at Sugar Creek Hollow and
enter their challenge.  The following is what the winner will receive:

We will choose one random winner who will receive a digi of our choice and a winner's badge to display.  The Design Team will select their Top Pick and the creator will receive a winner's badge and will be in the running for a monthly Guest Designer spot.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Cutting Cafe: Pocket Shaped Card Set

Okay, everyone, it is time for my Cutting Cafe card of the week.  We got the privilege of using the Sending You a Pocket Full of Wishes stamp set today along with the Pocket Shaped Card set.
This card set has so many adorable designs.  I just love it!  I chose the pocket full of posies.  The picture doesn't show it real well, but this is a beautiful purple.
I cut out the large stitched pocket for the background, put a half doily  on that and cut out pieces of the stamp set to use as decoration on my pocket.  I distressed most of the pieces with Tim Holtz distress inks and colored the pearls and used some Stickles for centers of the flowers.
For my flowers I used plain pearls which I colored with Copics and I cut out the flowers from the stamp set.  I painted the flowers with some pearl paint and distressed the edges.

I will definitely be using this set over and over again.  Can't wait until Valentine's Day to use the heart design.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and please stop by The Cutting Cafe blog page for our Wednesday inspiration to see what the other teamies came up with.

MTME -- Year in Review

Hello, ladies!  I have to say I really did something different than what I normally would do for the year in review.  I made a few cards using the new stamps and new papers.  These aren't normally my colors that I feel comfortable with, but I really enjoyed playing with these designs.
Don't you love this paper?  All the background paper comes from the Campout paper pack.  It is too cute.  You get a wood grain, trees, tents, etc.  I was really out of my element here, but I liked how they turned out.
I used the Happy Camping stamp set for the trees that I hand cut.  Aren't they cute?
The flashlight cut out is from the Camping Gear cut file.  Isn't it adorable?!
The campfire I free cut from the Lets Go Camping stamp set and attached it with a pop dot on top of the stamp.
I colored it in with Copics and used clear gloss to make it shine.  It kind of gives it a little dimension, I think.
Here is another card using the same paper file and I hand cut out the sleeping bag and used a little string to wrap around it.
Here is a closeup.  The tent I used the Camping Gear cut file and distressed the edges, cuz have ya ever seen a clean tent?
And here they all are again.  I really enjoyed using all these different designs.  You know it is always fun to try something you wouldn't normally do, especially when you have so many cute files to use!

I hope you had fun this release, and I hope you will give these products a try!
Please visit the other team members to see what they have come up with.

MTME Post Release

Hello everyone!  Today is the MTME Post Release where we get to show a little more of the June release.  I chose the Paper Bag template.  I can see so many uses for this.
Don't you love these little goodie bags?  I made them to show off the new paper this month S'more S'mores....totally love them!  They go really well with the new stamp set So Much S'mores.
I put a little cellophane bag filled with smores mixings and tied a ribbon around it.  For the outside I used some Prima flowers that I distressed and a little button.
Then I added a little smore marshmallow sandwich as an accent.  Isn't that cute?
Here is another one that I used from the stamp set.  Aren't they the cutest.  I flocked both of them to kind of give them a marshmallow effect.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this release.  I know I sure enjoyed playing around with the new products.  Please stop by the other team members for "s'more"..heehee...inspiration.
