The Cutting Cafe -- Bow Tie and Ribbon Set

Oh, my goodness is it HOT outside!  It is time for some Cutting Cafe inspiration.

This is the cutest little set.  I made this note card for a friend of mine.  We are going to the beach next weekend and thought this would be fun!  I used the new Bow Tie and Ribbon Set...way too cute!
The kite and stamp is from the Up In the Sky Wishes set.  Love that.  It is so versatile.  And I thought the paper was great for the occasion.  It is from the Lime Twist Life of the Party paper pack.

I hope you are all staying cool.  Please stop by The Cutting Cafe to soak up a little inspiration and I will see you next time!

Cutting Cafe - Flip Flop Card

Hello everyone!  I am here today with a project for the Cutting Cafe.  We are supposed to use the Flip Flop Card set.  There are several different templates and stamps...way too cute!
I used the Flip Flop card and cut it by hand because I got a virus in my laptop and am having it repaired...grrrr!
I used my new pull bow ribbon I got at the LA Garment District for the top of the thong part and some liquid pearls for an added touch!
Thank you so much for stopping by and please go to the Cutting Cafe website so you can see what really cool stuff they have to design with.

See ya!

LA Garment District Part 2 and 3

I am so proud of myself.  I actually did what I said I was going to do in the time frame I said I was going to do it in.  I am such a procrastinator most of the time, but I must be turning a new leaf.

So here is part 2 of the videos I promised.
And the following is part 3 of the videos.
I hope you guys enjoy these videos as much as I did making them.  I will probably be going back in a couple of months, and I will let everyone know when I go, so if you have any requests, you can let me know.

On a sort of similar note, I am in the process of getting my Etsy shop up and running.  There are a lot of items that I picked up that I am never going to be able to use all of, so I am going to be listing some of it.  So please check back on my blog for that.  It will probably take me a couple of weeks to get that finalized.

Thank you so much for stopping by and please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought of them.  Please be kind, but I do take constructive criticism pretty well, and I am always willing to listen, so that I can learn!

Have a fantastic week everyone!

LA Garment District Craft Video

Okay, I have finally uploaded a video to YouTube.  You are totally going to laugh at me, but it literally took me all day to finally get a 15 min. video edited and uploaded, and trust me, there wasn't much editing involved.  Wow!  Am I glad that is done.

With that being said, this is only part 1 and I have part 2 and 3 to edit and upload...yeah... you will probably see that a year from now.  I am just kidding.  I have to get them uploaded by Monday, cuz I am starting a death penalty at work next week and it is supposed to go through until end of October.  That means daily transcripts for me...oh, and no life and very little scrapping, but you know I will be fitting it in somewhere, because that is my stress relief.

Anyway, enough of that.  For my birthday, I went to the Los Angeles Garment District, the textile part of it.  Oh my goodness, did I have the time of my life.  I couldn't keep it to myself, so I have made three...yes, three...videos to show everything I got.  Way to much fun and soooo overwhelming.
So hopefully, if you click on the play button above, it will take you to my YouTube channel and you can play it.  I am not used to posting videos,  I am just a voyeur and enjoy watching other people's.

But I have to say I am quite the talker...I guess it's an occupational hazard.  I never get to talk at work, cuz I am always writing what everyone else says, so by the time I get home, my poor daughter!

If any of you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will try to answer it the best I can.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy it!

MTME A Year in Review -- Red, White and Blue

Happy 4th of July, everyone!  This is the best time of the year for me, because it is my birthday.  Ever since I was a little girl, I used to think the world was celebrating my birthday.  Even though it wasn't true, it was still fun to think it.
Lauren asked us to create something using red, white and blue for our project, and I sort of changed it a little.  I decided to use the Americana colors.  So here it is.
I put a little pocket together with a card.  I used a zigzag stitch around the sides and bottom decorated the front with all kinds of yummy stuff.
Don't they make a cute set?  I love the Americana theme.
I used several different kinds of paper.  For the red stars and background paper, I used the Blossoming Cherries paper pack.  The graph paper is from the Vintage Plaids Hues of Red and Sugar.
The banners on the front of the card are using the new cut file Birthday Banners.  I also have the stars and label from the new cut file Magical Birthday Wishes.
As always, it is such a blast designing projects using My Time Made Easy Products.  I hope you give this new release a try and please stop by the other team members blogs and the gallery at MTME.  I think you will really enjoy what you see.

MTME -- Release Day

Wow, have I ever had some computer issues.  I couldn't get my post loaded yesterday...what a bummer.  So today I will be showing you both my release day and post release day projects.  I guess if I had to miss one at least you get two in a row, right?!  So without further delay, this is my Cuppy-Cake project.
Pink and black, my very favorite colors.  This template goes together very easy.  Super fast and too cute!  I used the Wistful Musical Magic paper pack.
I took the pink paper from the pack and added the double sided tape, the two-inch size and burnished it with very fine clear glitter to give it that shine.
The roses on top I put together with a little prima rose colored to match and some fabric trim roses.  Love that shabby look.
Here is the ade to match.  I wanted to keep it a little cleaner than I normally do, so that you could see the background paper,  added a little glitz and bling and, of course, the Magical Wishes stamp set that is in our release.  Love them!

And a closeup of the glitter paper.  I really love the texture it gives.

So that is it for my release day project.  The following project is my post release project which uses the Lil Cupcake template.
This is great for a party favor or just a little something that needs a great package.  I used the new Blue Birthday paper pack.
I wrapped a little PTI ribbon around the bottom and embossed the top piece with some silver glitter embossing powder.
I used my Copic markers to color in the bunny and free cut him from the Magical Wishes stamp set.  I also cut out a few of the balloons from the paper and used some dimensional adhesive to make them pop.
Wasn't this month a fun release?  I was so excited to make all the templates especially with the birthday theme.

On the 4th I will be back to show you my year in review project...bet you can't guess it will be red, white and blue!  I am all geared up cuz the 3rd is my birthday, and I am going to the LA Garment District in the textile area to do some shopping!  Can't wait to show you all what I pick up.

Thank you so much for stopping by and please visit the other teamies to see what they have in store for you!
