MTME Release Day: A Little Bit S'more

It is finally release day and what you have all been waiting for!  This month is such a great release.  I love all the new templates and the paper and, oh, yeah, the stamps, which I will be showing you later in the release.
This template is called the Happy Camper.  You probably saw a peek of it at MTME yesterday, but today we were asked to make it something other than a camper, and I came up with a Pillbox purse...don't ya love it?
Isn't this so sweet?  I used paper from the Cool Romance paper pack.  It has just a touch of baby blue in the pattern.  I made a flap on the side and lined it with pearls and a modified Rolled Bloom Scalloped in the center.

The tag is made by layering the Simple Tags Oval cut file which I embossed with the Monograms Defined acrylic stamp set and used some pearl string to attach it.  Here is the Rolled Bloom again.  I put one on each side of the handle.
For my card I used the same paper, and for the tag in the middle, I used the Well Rounded tag cut file.  I monogramed the "S" on each side of the tag.  My daughter's last name starts with an "S" and I thought this gift would be great for the end of the school year.
Here is a closeup of the tag.  I stamped the sentiment using the Sensational Sentiments acrylic stamp set.  Love this color combo!
And here it is again, the whole set.  Just a note, in order for the handle to look proporionate, I had to put it on the other side of the closure, so I velcro'd the handle on this side so you could open it.

Thank you so much everyone for stopping by for a look see, and please stop by the other teamies to see what they have come up with.  I am sure it will impress you as it has me!

PDCC134 & Catered Crop Challenges

Hello again!  I just got an order in from Two Peas in  a Bucket...gotta love that name.  I couldn't wait to get home from work last night to play with the papers I got.  Oh, and I have to say that this is the first time I have placed an order with them, and I got my package really fast and the price was good too.
I just love the way this card came together.  It looks so vintagie...if that is even a word.  I used the paper from the Prima Fairy Belle 6x6 paper pad.  I can totally tell I am going to be in love with this pad.
I used Deb's seam binding from Simple Treasures for the bow and added a Recollections center bling.  You just have to love that tea stained ribbon.
I used the MFT dies to cut out my PTI felt roses (Melon Berry and Fine Linen) and added one of my resin roses I made.  All of that is nestled on top of a chipboard frame that I colored with PTI's Melon Berry ink.
I didn't get a very good picture of the center piece, but it is a pocket I made with a postcard tucked in it.  The postcard actually came from MTME in the Cool Romance paper pack.  I was just browsing around and found it.
This is what it looks like.  Isn't that the cutest paper?  There are so many things you can do with it...I'm just sayin you can't beat 2 bucks for this and four other sheets of digital paper you can print any time ya need it.
Here is another look at the full card.  I hope you liked it.  Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the MTME June release party.  Yay!!!

Preview Day 1: Trendy Turtle

Hi, everyone!  Here it is, the pre release party where we all get to give you little teasers of what is to come.  Lauren has truly outdone herself this month.
Isn't this too cute?   This little sweetie is called the Trendy Turtle.  It is very easy to put together and makes an adorable gift.
You just lift the shell and inside is where you keep your little goodies.  I rolled up a pair of spa socks and added a pedicure set.
Here is another shot.  Goodness, I love this color combination.  I can just see this little cutie at a baby shower, can't you?
I put a few Prima flowers and crochet flowers around the neck with a simple black bow.  I also added Stickles dots around the scallop at the bottom of the shell.
And here is a top shot.  The paper on the shell is from the A Loving Heart paper pack.  The little rosebuds on this pattern are so sweet.

I had so much fun making this little guy.  I know you will too.  Thank you for stopping by, and please visit the other team members for a little inspiration and view of what is to come.

The Cutting Cafe...Berry Sweet

I think I am in love.  This set is one of the sweetest sets I have seen in  quite a while...get the pun?!  Seriously, there are so many cute stamps and papers and cut files, that I just don't know where to start.

First, let me say that I didn't get everything done that I wanted to, so I am going to show you one card tonight, and I have several other projects from this set that I will post throughout the week.  I can't wait!
Don't you absolutely love the papers on this?  The background is a printable stamp set called Berry Sweet Backgrounds.  I just added a little bit of Stickles every few dots.  The Insert with the strawberry border is from the Berry Sweet Greetings stamp set.
I have to tell you that my pictures don't do this set justice.  It is such an adorable set...the kind you can't wait to get your fingers on.  I outlined the frame with a gold glitter pen, but you can't really tell in the pictures.
I also colored in the strawberry with the gold glitter pen.  This little insert is also from the Berry Sweet Greetings stamp set.  You really have to stop by the Cutting Cafe to see everything in these sets...way too much to list.
And here it is again.  Don't you love all that pink?  By the way, I have to mention that the seam binding ribbon I used for this card I just got from Simple Treasures etsy shop.  Debbie Marcinkiewicz is such a fabulous designer, but she also has several different colors of hand dyed seam binding ribbon...too cute!

Well, for now that is all I have.  I have several posts all lined up for the next two weeks, so please stop back by and check it out.

The Cutting Cafe Beautiful Roses

Hey, everyone!  I am really excited to show you  my project this week for The Cutting Cafe.  The DT is using the Beautiful Rose stamp set.  I really love this set, so I decided to make two cards.
I absolutely love roses and yellow is my mother's favorite color for roses.  As a matter of fact, her and I just went out and bought a yellow rose bush yesterday, so I thought this would be so pretty.
The rose I printed on vellum paper and dry embossed it, then colored it with Copics markers.  I then cut it out and applied it to the cardstock with pop dots.  Don't you love the dimension?!  This is the first time I have tried this and was pretty pleased with it...just a little pat on my back (Lol).
I colored a few I Am Roses flowers and applied them to the top corner.  The background paper is actually a background stamp that I embossed with yellow embossing glitter.
I also added a bow  using ribbon from Papertrey Ink.

There were so many pretty stamps in this set that I just had to make another card using several different images, and here it is:
Of course, you know pink is my favorite color, so I had to make a rose with that color.  There is so much in this card that I just love.  I used the vase and cut it out, applied Stickles to the outside and sat it in a bed of roses.
This is the vase and flower.  I used a pearl strand as the stem and don't you love that rose?  It turned out so cute!  I printed out the rose on white cardstock, added sticky tape and burnished some fine glitter and then colored it with Copics.
Here is a closeup of the rose.  I also added a strand of my resin pearls that I made.  Love these!
This frame is another stamp from the set.  I printed it on vellum paper and dry embossed it, then colored it.
This is a resin bow that I made.  I love how the color and glitter came out.  I am going to make a lot more of these.  I will do another post that has my resin goodies later.
Here is another closeup of my rose.  Aren't you falling in love with this stamp set?  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you will check out the other DT members and the Cutting Cafe blog to see what they have designed.  You know it is sure to knock your socks off!

See ya next time!

The Cutting Cafe Pinwheel

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to show you this card.  I made this using the Pinwheel Sentiment  set from The Cutting Cafe.
I cut the template out that was the medium size scallop pinwheel with holes.  Love the look of this.  I used a little pearl for the center.
I put a little doily on the bottom that I used some Distress ink on.  I added a seam binding bow with a tag on it.
The tag I colored with Photoshop, cut out and attached with a little twine.  Didn't it turn out cute?  I have never made a pinwheel before and I loved how easy it was to put together.

Please stop by The Cutting Cafe and see all the goodies she has.  It is so fun to see what you can come up with and the designs are adorable.  I can't wait to make my next project.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you liked it.

MTME May: Year In Review

Today is My Time Made Easy's year in review and the day the design team members get to pick any project they want.  Love this day.  I really wanted to make more to go with this, just because I love the colors so much and maybe I will have to do a follow up, but here is what I decided on.
Don't you love how feminine this is?  I wish I could find a real purse with these colors.

I used the Carry Clutch template with the Be Dazzled stamp set.  I cut the label out with the Be Dazzled cut file and added a little bling.
Isn't this little tag cute?  It makes me feel bright and cheery.  The paper I used is called Blooming With Elegance, and it sure is elegant, isn't it?
This template is the perfect size for the little gifts I have here.  I just love how the colors match.  Please stop by the gallery at MTME, so you can see all the projects the design team has made for this month's release.  I hope you have enjoyed all of the new designs.  They sure were fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out what the other DT blogs.  You are sure to love what they have done.

Cutting Cafe Design Team

I have really great news!!  I am so excited, honored and thrilled that I was picked to be on The Cutting Cafe Design Team.  Isn't that fantastic?!   You really must stop by and see everything Regina has to offer.  I just get all giddy and tickly inside when I look through all the stamps and templates to see what I want to create next.

This week we get to choose whatever we want to design...love that!  So I decided on the Dress Form and sentiments.  So here is my project.

I decided to make some tags, which I truly love to make, but don't seem to make very often.  First I die cut some Kraft paper and embossed them, then distress inked the background.
I then printed the dress form on some digital Shabby Chic Collage paper and cut it out.  I printed out the sentiments, cut them with some dies that I have and then distress inked the edges.
I used lots of little goodies from my stash.  I love lace, flowers and anything vintage, so this was really fun to put together.
Next, I wanted something to package them in that had that shabby chic look, so I took one of my glassine bags and added some goodies to it.
I love taking clothes pins and decorating them...too cute!
I took a little tag I cut out of Kraft foam and glued a little cameo embellie to it.
Do you like?I hope you've enjoyed this project.  I certainly am looking forward to making more designs out of the fabulous products that The Cutting Cafe has.  Please stop by the shop and their blog to see what the others are making for inspiration.  I know I can't wait to check it out!

See ya next time!

My Time Made Easy Post Release

I hope you have been enjoying all the release posts from everybody.  I sure know I have.  How about all the new templates!  Aren't they great.  My project for today is the Bloomin Wonderful template....waaayyy too cute!  Next week is teacher's appreciation week at my daughter's school, so I thought I would make mine for her teacher.
I love this paper.  This is the Preserve It Apples and Pears paper pack.  Isn't that perfect for a project for teachers?!  I also cut out a banner out of some Kraft foam and stamped on it with the Monograms Defined stamp set.
Here it is up close.  I used a couple of apple brads to give it some dimension.

I inked the edges of the blooms with Antique Linen Distress ink and put a die cut flower with a metal brad in the middle for the top piece.  I am filling this with some pencils, tablets and erasers.
And just because every teacher needs an apple, I put together the An Apple a Day cut file and filled it with some wrapped chocolates.

I hope you enjoyed my post today.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Don't forget to stop by the other team members to see what they have come up with.  I am sure you will enjoy it!
