Week 1 Online Summer Camp

I know I haven’t posted in a while.  I have been super busy at work.  In June I went to Texas to the Great American Scrapbook Convention.  It was absolutely fantastic.  I can’t wait until next year when I can go back.

Anyway,  the card I have today is an entry that I have for the Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire Summer Camp that I did using the colors for week 1.  This was a challenge for me because I had a hard time picturing this color combo, but I really enjoyed stepping outside the box.

I hope you enjoyed this.  See you next time!

Whimsical Key Card

Hi everyone! Today I have a card that I really loved making. It was very whimsical and elegant, I thought. I started out making one in green and thought it would look cute in the blue, so I did that one a little different.

On the blue card I used the Baja Breeze card stock from Stampin Up and embossed my images on Crumb Cake card stock from Stampin Up. The ribbon was made out of Baja Breeze bias tape with the key from Stampin Up and the rose I made from the Mold Muse that I baked with Sculpey clay.

The green card I used the Always Artichoke card stock from Stampin Up and embossed on the Crumb Cake card stock, also from Stampin Up. Key is from Stampin Up and Always Artichoke bias tape for the ribbon. The frame I am not sure where I got and then the rose, same as the blue one.

Pinwheel Card

Hi everyone! I just saw this pinwheel technique and had to give it a try. I was doing my usual search through You Tube and saw this video from Dawn at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. She is so talented. I have used many of her designs and been super pleased with the results.
I made a couple different colors and thought they looked so whimsical. I used my new light box to photograph these and I thought they turned out great! I made a video on how to make these cards and am in the process of editing them. I will post them as soon as I can.
Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges Won

Hi, Everyone!

I know it's been awhile since I posted last. Super busy at work. I am soooo excited! I just received my new video camera, and of course, I just had to spend all my extra time trying to figure out how to make and edit a video. Still working on it. I have made three videos and am still trying to figure out the editing part. Oh, well, hope I don't get bored before I am done.

I have some very exciting news. I won the MTME pallette challenge and the MTME pattern challenge. I am absolutely thrilled, especially since there was such fantastic work entered. My Time Made Easy is one of my very favorite companies. Their products are so fun to work with.

There should be a few more products that I will be posting this weekend. I am experimenting with a new light box that I just received. There is such a learning curve the older I get.

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by!

My Blog -- The Early Stages

I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for visiting my blog. I am a newbie at this, so I have quite a learning curve to go through. I am not computer challenged, but I certainly feel like it now. I finally figured out how to get the blog going, post pictures and publish things, but that is about it. I get so excited when I look at other people's blogs to see what they have created, so I decided to show some of my stuff to share with you.

Please bear with me as I work through the early stages. I am going to be getting a light box so my pictures will come out a little better and I would love to start doing some videos. So we'll see how that goes.

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope to hear from some of you!

MTME Pretty Pallete 04

I think I am really getting into this challenge thing. I don't know whether I will win anything or not, but just the inspiration it gives me is fun. This is a challenge from My Time Made Easy. If you haven't visited their site, you really need to stop in and see what they have. I spend way too much time there. Their design team is really fantastic. They just added some new members and I am really looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

My card for this challenge is made with the Kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I used the Autumn Leaves 2 digital paper from MTME along with the Tending
the Garden stamp set for the trees. The branches have Flower Soft on them to give them dimension. The flowers along the bottom were cut on my Silhouette using the Fanciful Flowers cut file and the label is using Trendy Tags Set 3 cut file from MTME.

I bet you can't tell how much I love their products! Tomorrow I will show you something I made using one of their templates that is soooooo amazing.

Enough for now. Thanks for stopping by!

CR84FN23 Color Challenge

Hello everyone. This will be my very first challenge I have entered. I have been wanting to join in, but have been very intimidated. I just couldn't pass this one up. The colors are so inviting and so girly, which is right up my alley. I hope you stop by their blog. You can find them here. It is by far one of my favs right now.

I used some doilies that I sponged ink on behind the bow and the label. The stamps are from Papertrey Ink along with the dies. The rose is from Stampin Up. The background paper is the ivory from Papertrey Ink that I used a Hero Arts background stamp on with Versamark and then embossed it with pink embossing powder. I think it turned out with the lacy look I was going for.

So here goes. Let me know what you think.

Easter Bunny Candy Card

One of my favorite sites to visit is Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. She is a Stampin Up demonstrator and has fabulous ideas. I could spend hours looking at her projects, plus her videos are fantastic.
She made a video tutorial for a bunny card that I just couldn't wait to try out. You can find it here.

So here is my card. Happy Easter and thanks for stopping by.

Daffodils

I just love flowers of any kind, but especially when you can use them on a card. This card is one that I made using the dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations. They have some beautiful designs, and if you go on their website, you can find all kinds of ideas in their gallery section.

For this card I used the Perfect Petals die set for the filigree under the bow. The daffodil is made from the Daffy Daffodil stamp set and the Springtime Medley die set. I colored the flowers in with Copics markers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Foam Accent Card

This is a card that I made using pink foam that I got at Walmart and dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I absolutely love their dies and stamps.
.
The pink foam is cut out using the Spring Medley die and running it through the Cuttlebug machine. The flower in the center is their Perfect Petals Diecut and the stamp is Elegant Single Leaves. I just love the 3D effect it gives.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
