Week #102-High Tea

Week #102 - High Tea
at The Shabby Tea Room.

The Shabby Tea Room's challenge this week is one I fell in love with the moment I saw the picture.  I love anything having to do with tea, and if it has a rose in it, well, count me in.

I made this card using background paper from Melissa Frances, stamp and die set for the tea cup and roses are from Heartfelt Creations.  The phrase stamp and die set is from Papertrey Ink.  I used some hand dyed seam binding for the bow and an Epiphany epoxy dot in the middle of the bow.
I tried a new technique with this card that I have been wanting to try for a while.  I used chalk on the inside of the card with copics marker accents on the leaves and outside.  I used my Glossy accents for the liquid in the cup and then the P.K. Glitz EP lite as accents for the roses and leaves.

As an aside, I just got back from the Scrapbook Expo show in Anaheim this weekend.  Every time I go to a show I always come back with so much information that it is hard to remember everything I learned.  So this time I decided that I would make a card a day every day this week just so I can put the techniques to use.  So keep checking back, and hopefully, I can show you some exciting stuff I learned.

Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing you next time!

Daffodils

I just love flowers of any kind, but especially when you can use them on a card. This card is one that I made using the dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations. They have some beautiful designs, and if you go on their website, you can find all kinds of ideas in their gallery section.

For this card I used the Perfect Petals die set for the filigree under the bow. The daffodil is made from the Daffy Daffodil stamp set and the Springtime Medley die set. I colored the flowers in with Copics markers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Foam Accent Card

This is a card that I made using pink foam that I got at Walmart and dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I absolutely love their dies and stamps.
.
The pink foam is cut out using the Spring Medley die and running it through the Cuttlebug machine. The flower in the center is their Perfect Petals Diecut and the stamp is Elegant Single Leaves. I just love the 3D effect it gives.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
