Preview Day 1: CARD COVER UP

My Time Made Easy Design Team Preview Day 1
How absolutely exciting is this?!
I have been so excited to share with you starting this month I am a member of the My Time Made Easy Design Team!!
Hooray!

I haven't posted for the last week or so because I have been very busy coming up with my projects to show you for the April release.  Boy the pressure!

You all know how much I love Lauren's products at MTME, so you can just imagine the fun I have been having with her new release templates, paper and stamp sets -- gosh, I am in love.  So grab your cup of coffee (or tea) and relax and enjoy...
Ta-da!  Can you believe this template?!  This is called the Card Cover Up Template.   We were asked to come up with something different other than using the template for cards.  This is what I came up with.
I put two templates back to back so that I could put more things in it.  I decorated this glassine bag with some crepe paper and ribbon and used the Fine Finish Tags cut file and Spring in Bloom stamp set (new) and the Fine Finish stamp set (new) for the label.
This is the back side of the set, which contains some body product.  The bow on top is the Abra-Bow-Dabra cut file from MTME.
This is the whole set.  What a perfect little Mother's Day set, and love that paper, don't you?  Of course, I put in my mom's favorite candy in the baggie.
I couldn't let you go without showing you this adorable new flower.  This is called the Rolled Bloom- Modern.  It is a cut file that is so easy to make and looks so cute...
And my last photo is the close up of the card.  Don't you love that paper?!  Well don't you know how excited I was when I saw that the Berry Burst paper (new) was pink...my very favorite color.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Please visit the other team member sites for more inspiration.  You will love what they have in store for you.  Make sure you stop back by on the 1st for release day...yippee!

Stick Pin Swap

Oh, my goodness do I have something fun to show you.  I joined in a stick pin swap at More Paper Than Shoes.  The color theme was yellow and green.  This is the first time I have made stick pins.  Here is what I came up with.
Aren't they cute?  I think I just might be addicted.  I cut out the Rounded Up Tag from My Time Made Easy.
Here is a closeup of the pins.
On the tag I stamped my personal stamp so that the girls would know who made them.
And here is how I packaged them.  Oh, my gosh do I love making these.  I used  5-inch pins because that is all I could find locally, but I think I would use something smaller for cards.  Let me know what you think and thank you so much for stopping by!

Retrosketches #2/ Colour Q #128/ Sugar Creek Hollow Challenges

I am back with another post.  I made this card for the Retrosketches #2, Sugar Creek Hollow Monochromatic Green, and the Colour Q #128 Challenge.  This is the first time I have entered this challenge, and this is what I came up with.
I love this color scheme.  I thought all the greens were very St. Patricky.  I used some embellies that I had on hand and used some seam binding that I dyed for the bow.
Here is a closeup of the frame.  Just a little whimsical fun on this card.  I hope you enjoyed it!  Thanks for stopping by.

Just A Little Fun

Isn't this the cutest?  Oh, my gosh, I am so happy with how this turned out.  I have a friend at work that has a birthday in March.  She believes in the month-long celebration.  She is absolutely obsessed with shoes and we call her "The Princess" so when I saw this, I couldn't help myself.
I couldn't just leave it plain black, so I added some rhinestones to the front.  The back where the heel is had a plastic round disk, I am assuming to balance the shoe, so I put some flowers to cover that up.
I added a line of rhinestones on the heel and another gift was good to go.  I know this isn't my normal type of project, but I had so much fun altering this.  Thank you so much for indulging me.

Just Us Girls Challenge #127

I am back again with another challenge for Just Us Girls.  This is the technique week, which is to make something which includes dry embossing.  On this card I just have an accent of dry embossing that I used the Swiss Dots on.  You kind of have to zoom in to get a close look.
It is my friend's birthday and she loves flowers and the color pink, so I thought this color combination would be great for her.  Plus, she is a girly girl like me ,so I knew she would love the pink doily and big pink flower.
I love the little trim and crochet flowers.  Don't you think it kind of gives it a little dimension?
Again, here is the whole card.  I hope you enjoyed it!  Have a wonderful day!
